How to Book a Club Boat:
Once you have had a look at the Google Docs above and determined which boat you would like to book, send your request to clubcaptain@brisbanegpsrowing.com.au and the booking request will be applied to the spreadsheet. Any conflicts or other issues will be assessed at the time of booking and you will be advised if the requested boat is not available.

Boat Lights:
Now that we have passed the summer solstice, the sunrise is getting later every morning. It is important that all members observe our clubs safety policy and make sure that a compliant light is placed on the bow and the stern of every club boat that rows from our shed. Suitable products are available from the link below. If you do see another member attempting to boat on the river with no lights or lights that do not work you are well within your rights to report the breach of safety incident.
Vision Statement:
The Club of choice, supporting members to achieve their dreams.
Our Values:
- Equitable: We play fair and respect everyone’s rights and goals, on and off the water.
- Inclusive: We are welcoming and value our relationships with each other and with everyone in our community.
- Learning: We value what rowing teaches us as individuals and about working together.
- Excellence: We are ambitious and always strive to do our best.
- Integrity: We always do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Learn to Row:
The next course will start on Saturday 7th September 2024. We do not offer LTR through the winter months. All students will need to be a minimum of 18 years old before they can attend the course.
Note: We can enrol a maximum of 10 students per month. As soon as a month is fully booked, then you will need to choose another month to do the course.
River Safety Video:
Brisbane RiverShare video from RQ and MSQ, Transdev
Click the link above to watch the video created by the associated organisations to help educate users of the Brisbane River in safely navigating and sharing the river. All B&GPS members will already be aware of these requirements, but this is a visual reminder of the risks associated with rowing, and how they can be minimised if correct procedures are followed while you are rowing on the river.
